Have any of you ladies used this relaxer? My mother is getting her hair done by a new stylis. She talked to the woman, and she uses Mizani and she was asked me if it was any good. I don't use it, so I thought I would ask you ladies! TIA.

I used it once and had decent results. If I remember correctly, you don't need a nuetralizer, just water to rinse out. I have been thinking of trying it again.

yes i use Mizani, i highly recommend it. And YES you do need a neutralizer! Its just a different name. i think it's their puriphying shampoo is what it's called. i think that Mizani produces the straightest hair compared to other relaxers. but of course you would have figured out that i am a mizani fan. :D If you be careful and not scratch your scalp, it wont burn. but if you do scratch it....it will burn.

My stylist used a Mizani relaxer in my hair after the Dezire relaxer I had been getting seemd to stop working. I was really impressed with the results, I actually had straight hair for about two weeks and the texture was soft, black, and shiny.

I have had this relaxer before and it's the only lye relaxer thst would want to use. It made my hair smooth, soft, and bouncy. I hope it ...works out for you!

Mizani is no different from the rest. They have lye and no lye in their line of relaxers. the stylist that i went to, last week. i really liked her. she mixed up the relaxer, oiled my scalp, put cholesterol on my ends, set her clock-timer, and then she went to work. she took 15mins and rinsed it out. my hair looks so silky and soft, straight and shiny it's ridiculous. And you'll neutralize, condition and then style. I think mizani is the top of the line, as far as relaxers go. I have been curious about affirm, but they have too many formulas to choose from and i've heard not-so-good things about how they tend to dry out their hair or cause breakage.... I just wish there was a study available to compare the top of the line relaxers and their pH and all that good stuff. That would be the bomb!

oh yea and i'll also mention that before my hair appt, i sprayed the aphogee restructurizer in my hair and applied vaseline to my ends.... i really think that is why i did not have breakage this time....make sure u protect your ends no matter what relaxer you choose....

What steps do you all follow when applying the mizani, if you are self relaxing?
