I'm thinking of switching relaxers. ORS doesn't seem to be holding me anymore  So my top choices are Mizani & Affirm.

i use mizani regular but i have coarse hair. it is okay to me. and too expensive to just be "okay".it straightens my hair but it's not bone straight. I heard the butter blend system is really good but I never tried it.

funny i was thinking about switching to ORS because of all the good reviews.

I have used Mizani in the past and it's just okay. It costs about $11 here at the BSS so I just use another brand that's just as good that costs between 5-6 dollars.

I have used (well, my stylist) Mizani lye Rhelaxer for course hair for about 2 years now, and I LOVE it! Before I started going to her, the stylist I went to before used another lye perm (Lucas), and also experimented with a no-lye perm (Deep Brillance). My hair was in pretty bad shape, and over-processed.

I recommend Mizani, but I have never used Affirm.

HTH

I have 4b hair. (I think) And i've used Mizani twice and HATED it. It burned like hell and I have a strong scalp so for me to burn means its on fire.

Plus, the same two times, it did NOT breakdown. I had to get the stylist to start smoothing it in more because it wouldn't relax. You shouldve seen me squirming in the chair. It was ridiculous. But that's just me & my hair. Everyone is different. I beleived she used regular ol Mizani both times. Can't remember which formula.

I LOVE affirm and almost anything else.

ORS is EXCELLENT!!!! It just seems my roots are puffing faster. I just had a touch up about 7 weeks ago and it's already serious, Lol.....
Maybe I should just leave well alone :yep:
