What's the deal with Miss Jessie's ? Ive read alot of reviews . Some were good but most were bad. They said that the product took forever to dry and it was just bad overall. Why is it so overpriced? I visited the website and I shook my head at the "silkner" That aint nothing but a relaxer in disguise:lachen:. It has the same active ingredient as a perm and she tried to confuse you with the definition talking about" A Silkener™ is designed to embrace texture via tweaking or altering curl, kink or wave. "

Mmmmmhmmm

You'd be better off just using the just for me "texture softener" and saving yourself the $75 .

And another thing what's up with the $75 charge ??? So if I bring my child in to have you just do a style it'll cost $75 ??? :perplexed Not to mention she wants the money upfront .

IMO she is serving a market. There are people want curly hair but they may not want what come out of their head naturally, so I guess this might be a medium for them. Not relaxed but not natural either.

correct me if i'm wrong, i my memory serves me right: -i haven't been on the new site in a while but i remember on the old one-...your hair had to be like a 4a or a 4a/b in order to get your hair done. soooo if my hair is straight up 4b, i'm s.o.l.?!

so they're not in DC anymore?

because the silkner aka texturizer is only a mild relaxer. it wont curl your hair it will only loosing the curl you already have. supposedly true 4b hair is more of a kinky straight texture than a mini curl texture. so if you were to apply a silkner/texturizer to it, you'd get a straight hair instead of a loose curl pattern.

if anyone wanted to know what a texturizer would do to their hair all they had to do is pull on a strand of hair just a little to see the results.
