I want to rollerset my hair and flat iron the new growth at the roots in order to avoid a touchup until week 12.

Can any of you recommend

1. a ceramic flat iron with plates LESS THAN 1 inch wide
2. a store or website from which to get such a flat iron?

I use one by Conair....this one is the closest I can find to what I have - tho I don't think it's this EXACT model....

Check target. I purchased my revlon iron from there and I remember seeing ones with plates less than one inch.

I use the conair one too, I got it from BSS around my way and it was under $40 and I love it. It is small enough to get to the roots without burning. There is a coating on the outside that stays cool to the touch. I do my little girls hair with it and it's great. Mine looks sort of like the one in the pic.

I ordered a deeply discounted Rusk Ceramic Str8 flat iron from eBay. It's got the negative ion technology, 1/2" plates, and a temperature dial.

The Sally's closest to me doesn't carry the miniature Jilbere ceramic flat iron.

I feel rather silly for not having already realized the option of flat ironing the new growth after a rollerset. Here's hoping it helps me stretch out the relaxer better than my blowout attempts did.

Meg - please let me know if it does. My conair doesn't work well for that purpose and I was wondering if I needed a better one.
