Zinc - Zinc and Vitamin A work together; a deficiency in either can lead to dry hair and oily skin. Food sources: Spinach, sunflower seeds, mushrooms, whole grains, red meat and brewer's yeast. Daily dose: 12 mg. Warnings: Too much can interfere with iron absorption.

My hair has alway been dry. I figured I was born that way, but yesterday I got some test results back that said I was zinc deficient.

I don't understand why I'm deficient because nuts, soy beans, chickpeas, fish, and spinach are my favorite foods and makeup a large part of my diet. :ohwell:

I'm zinc, magnesium, b12, choline and antioxidant deficient. I'd never even heard of choline. I haven't even had breakfast this morning because I'm too full of supplements.

Great info! My hair and scalp were super happy when I was taking cal-mag-zinc tablets. Zinc and Biotin also work together in the body as well.
