Hey I was just curious if anybody did this before to loosen curl. Everybody is raving over baking soda which has alkalinity of 8.3 but MOM has alkilinity of 10.5. (rememeber relaxers are 13 and 14). Just curious because I know many of you are using it for your face for acne and what not.
here's a link that discusses this:

anyone?????????????????????????

Interesttingg...... :yep:

Somehow, I think I remember hearing about this before, but don't remember where, and didn't really file it away in my head.

Are you gonna try it?

HMMMMM...

Don't get me ta thinking, cause we have like 5 bottles of MOM around the house....

LOL It will be GONE in a sec if theres some positive feedback!!!:lachen::lachen::lachen:

BTW: I added 1 tsp of salt to my condish and it worked like a charm, I told my gramma, and she said they used vinegar back in the day to loosen curl... hmmmmm....

Vinegar is an active ingredient in Curlaway by Xenna; but it's drying.

This would be a great thing and maybe some ladies will spend less on commercial products and BSS products. It seems like every other community is benefitting from black hair care except BLACK people.

I am going to try it but I will add a lil in some conditioner first on a very small section of hair in the front. I will try it by end of next week.

I'm surprised nobody tried this yet.
