So! It has been a while...
I tried Tresemme Naturals Nourishing conditioner yesterday and my hair freaked out. It was hard to comb through and very tangled. Lost a lot of hair- soldiers to the drain...
So I went to battle again today but came with allies like ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo to clarify, then Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo for to take some of the squeaky clean out of it and give "quick" moisture, and tried the conditioner again....
I left it in, detangled with the wide tooth, and then combed it into a ponytail with a medium toothed comb. Already it was a lot easier to get through and felt smooth and silky. I Got out of the shower and patted with a towel to absorb most of the extra water. I then added a little coconut oil and shea butter to both the edges and ends. Bunned, and scarved. Success!
When I took the scarf off my hair was soft, smooth and well moisturized. I plan on doing this once per week, re-misting the edges with water and reapplying shea butter and coconut oil as needed. Combing only in the shower once a week (hope I can stick to that... maybe I'll get a few headbands and accessories, its pretty boring looking).
Hopefully, this will get me back to APL again by May. I'm still a 1/2 inch away and its already the end of March! *Siggy change to follow*
