Hi,

I'm interested in trying these products (not together), for wash and goes when summer hits. As they are not cheap, I'd be interested to hear about the following:

1. How you find these products, would you recommend?
2. Do you prefer one over the other?
3. Does it/do they work as a one and as advertised, or do you need to use other products with them?
4. How would you describe your hair (Curls/porosity/length etc)?
5. Any issues with either product you may have had?
6. Anything you'd like to share about your experience or recommendations about the products or how you use them.

TIA

1. How you find these products, would you recommend?

I love them and use them every week (except right now because I’m on a protective style challenge). I use the gel for wash n goes and the foam too.

2. Do you prefer one over the other?

I prefer the gel because it give a tighter hold and makes my hair more coiled, whereas the foam gives me more hang time and a lighter hold for a fuller-frizzier look.

3. Does it/do they work as a one and as advertised, or do you need to use other products with them?

I can use the products as one and done… HOWEVER, For my hair the gel really dries out my hair after a day. Alone the definition is crazy. But then I have to wash sooner because my hair is so dry and scalp gets irritated. I use the gel on top of Uncle Funky’s (like i do with any styling gel).

I use the foam alone and it isn’t as drying as the gel, but it’s a different style.

4. How would you describe your hair (Curls/porosity/length etc)?

Thin, shoulder length, pen-spring sized coils and zig zags.

5. Any issues with either product you may have had?

No. I keep repurchasing. The only issue I had was with the company not shipping all of my items once, but they corrected the issue.

6. Anything you'd like to share about your experience or recommendations about the products or how you use them.

I do the black girls curls routine. I used to use Innersense ICH gel, but I prefer Miche because it has slightly more slippage when applying and my curls look better. I used to use a lot of gel, but over time I’ve used less and less.

I apply a bit of gel to large sections of wet hair that has UFD gel on it already, so that could be the reason I don’t have to use as much as I would think I need. Same with the foam when I use it. I’ve only used both products for wash n goes, no other styles. My hair is soft using either (with the UFD underneath).

Other product recommendations:
I love their detox shampoo. LOVE
The conditioners are just okay. I prefer others.

I’m currently in twists using their Quench for the first time. I haven’t twisted my hair in the past 2 years since I’ve been doing wash n goes. This product didn’t feel great going on, it felt like nothing but tacky. But days later- my hair is so soft in these twists. Doesn’t give definition on its own to loose hair, but when I unraveled a twist, the definition was beautiful.

Thank you so much. That is really good insight for me. I am definitely going to buy both to start the wash and goes. It's interesting that you mention the Miche conditioners, I have balancing one and the moisture ones in my basket, I wanted to try them. Although I have used multiple conditioners that are good, or that I've liked, but I still haven’t found THE one yet. What are the DC's you prefer over the Miche ones?

I’m still searching for the one, as well. I like the deep conditioner called Ouai Hair Mask. And I use AG Boost conditioner the most often for a quick rinse out after shampoo.

1. I have a few products from Miche and so far everything Ive tried works so well. Their price point is high so I stock up during sales.

2 I like both for different reasons. The foam for the winter so my hair doesn’t sit wet for long and the gel in the summer to battle humidity and frizz. I also like using the gel like an edge control as well.

3. I always use a leave in as a base before I use a styler for some extra moisture.

4. I have small coils like the size of a standard pencil. I also have hair Botox in my hair which changes porosity and elasticity. My hair is also almost APL.

5. No issues at all.

6. I enjoy the boost spray to extend my wash and goes and I like their cream styler/leave in when I’m not using gel. I usually pair it with a cheaper cream leave in so I don’t waste it

Thank you ❤️ The more I hear about these products, the more I want them! My hair acts up when there's humidity in the air, so I think the using the gel in summer will likely work well for me. I will try the foam too just to see how it holds up when it's hot outside.

When I get around to ordering them, I think I will try with a liquid leave in as well as on their own. I'd probably be too worried about flakes to try it with creamy leave ins or moisturisers.
