I've never really been into the Isoplus line (no reason in particular), but I actually bought this mousse earlier in the week to do a roller set on dry hair (b/c of a botched flat ironing job - wanted to smooth my ends).

I liked the fact that it could be used on wet or dry hair, and it was alcohol free. It also has "silk protein" or silk amino acids in the ingredients listing - so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Haven't seen any reviews or really that much feedback online about it, so I figured I'd give it a run on my braid outs. I usually use conditioners, cholesterol or maybe some gel - but I figured this would be a great way to try a new product.

Plus I usually prefer my braid outs when I use a lighter product. I have 10 braids in now, freshly washed with only ECVO and product in hair. I will update when my hair dries a bit more (pics included - I know better) lol

BTW that roller set never happened lol So I'm hoping this will be a pleasant alternative/product I've stumbled upon.

Anybody used this before?

Also here is a list of ingredients - hopefully none of them are on the lhcf no-no list :look: :

Isoplus Foam Designing Mousse

Deionized Water - Aqua , Isobutane/Propane , Butane , Polyquaternium-4 , Glycerine , Polysorbate 20 , Quaterium-15 , Cocamidopropyl Betaine , Silk Amino Acids , Panthenol , Fragrance

Short description:

  • Alcohol-free
  • Textural diversity for both long and short hair
  • Protects against heat appliances
  • Use as a setting lotion to create a wet or dry look

Enhances curl in naturally curly hair while controlling frizziness. This alcohol-free mousse moisturizes and conditions as it adds fullness, body and shine. Leaves hair with high gloss with its silk protein.

Another plus, it was less than $5 at Sally's Beauty Supply

If all goes well I'll review it on my blog - hoping its a keeper!

How did it work for you?

I like foams to dry hair, for a leavin, and heat protectant, and im looking for a light moisturizer that will dry into hair good, so I was looking for a mousse for all of that since its heavier than a foam and might work better for moisturizing- with no alcohol in it.
