She had full APL hair that was in full swang. I gotta meet the challenge. I'm always happy when I see someone whose hair was longer than mine and realize that my hair has gotten longer! I know that's bad!

LOL, there's nothing wrong with having hair nemeses. Much like those who sip the haterade, they give you a reason to stay on top of your regimen.

Mine is my mother. I know it's bad...nobody should be competing with their own mother, but I can't help it. I love her, but I'm hoping to finally take her down once and for all this December.

Too funny .

lmao
this thread is cute
and my nemesis's hair is long (yet thin) BSL.......I already have more thickness than she does....but once I get the LENGTH? boyyyyyyyyyyyyy watch out now!!! I will make sure she's one of the FIRST people to see my progress lmao.

Giiiiiiiirl, mine is my cousin. She has always had around APL-length hair (although she recently cut it to a little past full SL) but everyone always ranted and raved about her long hair, and I used to be SO jealous when I was younger.
The irony of it now is that if I would have straightened my hair right before I BC'ed, I would have been past where she was at her longest, but I wasn't even thinking about her then. I'm not jealous anymore but I definitely still want the coveted position of the long-haired girl in the family. (I know that sounds pathetic... lol. But it's been a desire since I was young that I thought I could never reach!)
Since joining LHCF, APL doesn't even seem so long to me anymore (though it was the longest my hair had ever gotten in my life) but it definitely let me know it wasn't impossible to attain, so I KNOW I can get there and surpass it.

This is a HILARIOUS post. I guess because I hide my pain and envy of everything. My sisters have always been my hair nemesis. They do not understand why I do so much (deep condish, buy a steamer, etc) One of my sisters went to a kitchen beautician who used dish detergent to wash her hair and she is still growing. My hair wold have shed and broke to the scalp. I am currently weaved growing out my past shoulder length hair and I will not have a full reveal until I am APL. I never tell them I envy their hair but they always ask about mine

My nemesis is anyone that bcd around the same time i did. Yea im looking in siggys for bc dates. And i will be watching your fotkis. I need to know my competition. Lol

lmao there's plenty o' people in real life whom i am trying to outgrow!!! it's like we're in a hair challenge and only i know it :lachen:

 I just don't get this, I mean you can buy shampoo for $1 and less :perplexed

lol, it's not bad. I have a list of people in real life that I'm secretly trying to "outgrow."

Oh yes same here. I have a friend who had apl hair until she cut it to sl. I was like yes now the playing field is level. She thinks I wash my hair too much, need to get trims more often, etc. I'm just like yea keep doing what you're doing while I keep doing me and I'll see which method is better.
