I tried it once before knowing the difference between protein treatments and moisturizing conditioners. Please check the label. I think this is a protein conditioner and must be followed by a moisturing conditioner.
I still have a full-size jar of this stuff. I don't remember the label saying that you have to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner but it couldn't hurt. I wished it smelled less potent.
It's a protein conditioner, so it's not really designed for softening ,Vev.
But it's great for adding strength and IMO that's the best way to use it. I'd just follow up with your fav detangler/softener/creme rinse.
It is considered a mix tho, so I'm pretty sure the ingredients don't give instructions about following up. But you should if your hair requires it. Not everyone's will with this conditioner (mine didn't) but some might. I don't use it for softening tho. I use it for strength - as a mild protein.
