Men Don’t Love They Value

I saw this comment on the other site. Ever since I read that statement it all clicked in my head.

How do you ladies interpret the statement?

They do both. But I don’t think they allow themselves to love until they deem you valuable.

I think this is a spinoff of men invest in what they value. Women can't wrap their brains around how men approach relationships whether its a man who is looking for a trophy wife or a plain jane woman, men value different things (looks, education, etc, etc) and they pick based on that. Whereas women pick based on the more abstract love concept. I think a lot of it is socialization.

Men can value you, doesn’t necessarily mean they are truly in love with you.

It depends on what is being valued. With certain values, depending on power differential of the man... a woman will have to be smart from the get go.

If a man values looks and youth, then if you are the first wife, know there is a time clock. While the new love is fresh and you have influence, make wise decisions.

Regardless of what a man says.... put your needs and values forefront. The man who wants to be with you will adjust.

I think the statement is true. And it's a hard lesson to learn if you love a man that doesn't value you.

I agree kinda. Men love what they value. That’s how I understand it. It makes sense.
