I shop at the mexican grocery store, but never went down the hair isle. I found a $5 garlic cream rinse conditioner. I just restarted using MegaTek after 1 week of use a few months ago ( i gave my bottle to my mom). I haven't experienced any shedding yet, but I thought I'd get a jumpstart on it with the garlic stuff. I was going to go to the Alter Ego site, but yesterday I found this Cabellina Garlic Conditioner 32 oz. Here are the ingredients:

Pruified water, cetyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, stearyl alcohol, pure garlic oil, ceteth-10, glyceryl stearate, hydrolized collagen, peg-100 stearate, hyaluronic acid, tetrasodium EDTA, citric acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, fragrance, FD & C yellow No. 5

I have it in my hair now and the only con so far is it smells garlicy.

You can also get Nutrine garlic shampoo and conditioner for $3.50 at just about any BSS. No garlic smell at all.
