i need a thick moisturiser fa when i want to make ponys and stuff. i heard bothe of these were good. what are you ladies experiences from these? which one is better and do they contain protein that can cause breakage because some one said they got breakage from cantu... will i get it with profective

I just started using Carol's Daughter Hair Butter, besides the smell which is like a herbel scent I prefer that over the megagrowth which seems to stick to my hair and have me looking like a greasy fool. I've started a weekly switch of EQ mango butter and the carols daughter.

I didn't love Mega growth. It felt like it was just sitting on my hair.

Healthy butter wasn't too great for me either. After a couple of days of using it, it wasn't penetrating.

I have relaxed 4a/b hair

I have never tried the Carol's Daughter Hair Butter but I did try the Profectiv Megagrowth, and I can honestly say I hated it. It was just a heavy, greasy, mess in my hair. :nono:

what exactally do m=u mean greasy mess like wid a shine and do you think it holds edges down... do you have a thick moistur recomindation i tried mango and it did nothing but eveporate

I didn't like either one of them, profective was too greasy and i hated the smell of the healthy hair butter, I do like Carol's Daughters marguerites magic, i use it in my daughter's hair, it's very thick so i rub it in between my hands with a little water before i apply it, it makes her hair soft and manageable

I like HHB ...never tried mega growth...

However, I always use CD HHB followed by her Mimosa Hair Honey...

Just FYI....Know that HHB is not a light product...and is best for buns/twists/protective styles....it does leave your hair feeling slightly greasy...but that doesnt bother me

I want to try the Marguerite's Magic...it may be better than HHB or like both - that reminds me that I have a sample from Sephora...I need to try that

But I would definitely go with a Carols Daughter product....

And I am pretty sure that there is no protein in HHB...if you search on amazon it lists the ingredients...they are ALL in every day english not afjdkajdjadljlkjkparabencone

I mean greasy mess as in not desirable in any way for my hair. :nono:
It has a lot of lanolin in it and I think that was way to heavy for my hair. Plus it smelled like fish! :fishslap: It's disgusting, you can do so much better IMO.

Here is the product that I am newly in love with. It's Silk Elements Anti-Breakage cream. It's luxuriously rich and has a cocktail of excellent ingriedients like shea butter, glycerin, natural herbs and vitamins. I can believe I didn't try it sooner!

Same here on all three points. I now use Qhemet's Amla & Olive Heavy Cream, this stuff rocks!

That Silk Elements Anti-Breakage cream is nice, but the smell didn't sit well with me. I didn't use it often so I just gave it away. I did like the ingredients though.

I've found a great moisturizer for my hair now. I believe that my search is over....Oyin's Whipped Pudding is amazing and it smells like chocolate!!!! At first I thought my HG was Jane Carter's Nourish & Shine, but when I tried the Whipped Pudding, I immediately fell in love. I now use the Nourish & Shine as a moisturizer for my legs. I like how I can use my natural moisturizers for my hair AND body, that way nothing will really go to waste.

Destiny was in my head. I totally agree on both products from the poll. I also have the Marquerites Magic and I really like it. BUT I hated that profective with a passion!
