Mega-Tek...Wash Out vs. Leave In

I was just wondering if Mega Tek is more effective when it is left in until the next wash or applied to fresh, scalp daily...

I'd like to know the answer as well....I know when I use the MT I apply it to the scalp every other day. I know that about a month ago I had the ends trimmed and I got that inch right back. I guess the way that I'm using it works for me...

I still wanna know tho!

well i used it both ways and this is what happened. first I was using it straight apply to scalp and leave on for 2 days. This cause alot of shedding and severe itching. I also was getting flakes (wich i normally never do)
So then I read the bottle and decided to try it the suggested way. I wash hair, apply mt like a conditioner, put on shower cap and bath. Then I rinse, and follow with a moisturizing condish. This method works for me.
so I was 2x a week, I use poo/mega tek/ moist condish for 1 of those wash days and the other wash day I use brahmi powder to washand a moist condish after. I have hardly no shedding now and i swear my hair is gowing great.

I have been leaving it in until the next co wash. I am sure the growth effect wears off at some point when it is left in...

Anyone one wash it out in minutes or the same day with great growth results. I would like to hear from both sides...meaning those that leave in and those that wash out sooner

i leave it on long enough to bath then i rinse. Im guessing its about 10min that its sitting on my head

I'd love to help but, I use it both ways. I have noticed that my hair feels considerably thicker if I clarify shampoo then put the MT on my hair and leave it while I wash and then rinse out. I started out just putting it on my scalp then when I received my OCT I started also using it according to the directions. I have even left my OCT inover night and after rinsing and putting the OCT condish in, it was silky soft.

I do it all sorts of ways. I DC with MT on wash days for 30 mins. I always use a creme rinse and moisturize condition on wash day after MT.

The next day the scalp is clean. I lightly apply to scalp AND hair. I brush it through with my Denman brush and apply moisturizer. Leave in till next wash. I do notice that this method makes my hair feel so thick and strong, immediately.

Personally for me it works great when u do both at full strength. I say experiment and u will find what works for u.

i use it as a leave in re applying every other night.. and then i add that nice shea butter leave in my cantu or canta.. whatever and then my favorite oil.

what i have notice is my new growth is supa thick, i grew about 1in for the first month using it the way i apply it. umm i get the tingles a lot and i can in deed feel my hair growing (tingles).

excample.
monday(MT+Moisture massage b4 bed)
tuesday(moisturize in morning and night concentrating on ends to preserve),
wed(MT+moist massage b4 bed)
Thursday(moisture" ")
Friday(optional MT or Moisture or both but usually i have to moisturize my ends at least)

Saturday (wash hair for styling in case i go out using my shampoo regime with deep conditioning, air dry, low heat if needed, use protective style, phony pony, french braids, off shoulders, or bun)

Sunday( lots of moisture because i most likely only used my leave in and light oil on damp hair before styling so i wouldnt get my phony pony oily, or if i used like gel ill rinse gel or styling product out and co wash hair again on sunday then load on the moisture and lock with oil.

Then do it all over again... hope this helped..

Leave in works for me. I will use OCT according directions, though. My hair is growing just fine!!!

I would like to know this as well. I was using it as a regular conditioner after pooing. Leave in 5 mins and rinse but I wasn't consistent enough. I read in the last challenge that Shimmie was going to use it as directed and give her review. I have been waiting for her review...
