Measuring hair growth

Its usually done in inches...but now that I think about it, I think it would be more accurate to measure in centimeters.

I usually stretch my newgrowth to get the accurate length that I've achieved because sometimes it can curl up giving a false representation of its true length.
 
Good question. I'm not sure on how to measure my total length. Some do it from hairline to ends and some do not. Since my hair is in layers I don't know where to begin, so I just pull a piece out of my comb that still has the bulb attached and measure it with a ruler.

thats the same technique I use

yep, from my forehead to the end of my hair. i part my hair and measure from the roots to see how much new growth i have though.
