yep i mix mine with eggs for protein and honey for moisture. sometimes i put some essential oils like jojoba or castor or rosemary in just to have fun. i like being a chemist with things that are good for my hair. if i want more slip i just use a dab of conditioner and rinse again.
yes, it's a great inexpensive conditioner. my brother used to mix mayo with eggs and honey when he had dreds. i thought it was gross then and i recently went natural and i've tried it a couple of times. it's a pretty good conditioner and it adds sheen, but the honey is difficult to work with and it smells. i'm not sure if it's worth the effort and i prefer my regular conditioner. but hey you should still try it for yourself!
I have tried mayo, I think if you do a search you can see my thread about it. I liked it veyr much, I used it as a deep conditioner. I mixed in an egg and olive oil and some hot 6 oil too. I loved the results. I would do it more often but in college mayo is a spread for a sand'mich
