Spring is my growth season! Ummm hun. I want to get the utmost growth. So far here’s my plan, I had my hair braided and I am applying LR to my scalp 2-3 times weekly. Internally I started drinking 70grams of milk and egg protein (again) and taking ½ tspn of kelp today.

When is your growth season? What are you going to do to get the maximum growth?

I HAVE NO IDEA   WHEN MY GROWTH SEASON IS, I'VE NEVER REALLY PAYED ATTENTION. BUT THEY DO SAY THAT HAIR GROWS FASTER IN THE WARMER MONTHS. TO HELP MY GROWTH THOUGH, I DO PLAN TO INCREASE MY DAILY INTAKE OF WATER, B/C ITS VERY LOW RIGHT NOW

mine is summer and fall... hence why i like C&G method during the summer. you know something, i should probably go back to drinking my peanut butter protein smoothies now to get my hair prepared... thanks for the reminder!

also i plan to continue working out and drinking lots of water... good for health in general but my skin, hair and nails always thrive when i do this!

drinking more water, working out, and taking my vits. oh, and eating healthier.

do different ppl have different growth seasons? (i thought summer was it for everyone.)

Last year, I noticed that my hair grew more during spring ^^
So, this season I plan to maximize my growth by increasing my water intake, taking supplement, exercise more and eating healthier !^_______^

Last year mine grew more in the spring too and then I played myself and put in a weave that I didn't take care of properly . I'm going to up the water intake, exercise and be more diligent with the vitamins and mtg.

Yes it's different for everyone. Does anyone know how long a season last?

I'm not sure when my growth cycle is since I've only begun to take care of my hair since Fall of '06, but I'm going to assume it's in the Spring/Summer months. I've been drinking water only for the past few years though so I plan to continue this. I also intend to start exercising more..well, I'm not going to lie..I'm going to start exercising and continue to limit my use of the curling iron. As of recently, I only use a curling iron once a week, and that's after I blow dry my hair. I also am going to be more consistent with moisturizing my hair at night and putting it in a bun. I ordered some BT and hopefully this will help with my growth as well.

Happy Growing!

i don't know exactly... i know mine personally is from April/May to August/September. back when i was texlaxed i'd go the summer without relaxing or heat straighting and come touch-up time i had about 4 inches of new growth. after that, even if i didn't get a touch-up right away, i notice i go back to about 1/2 inch of growth a month in the fall.

I am going to stay steady with my vitamins, get more consistent with my daily protein shakes, workout more, drink more water, keep using BT, and start using black castor oil on my ends and scalp.

hmm this will be my first time actually paying attention so we'll see. I was thinking the period from April to September would be 'growth season' -- I sure hope so!

The last time I remember getting dramatic growth was between the months of Oct-Feb, but it was also in micros and I wet it allllll the time. Now that it's in micros again and going into spring/summer months Mar-July/Aug. I'm going to see what the difference in the seasons is for me. But I'm also using 'growth aids' for the first time ever, vits, BT (when it arrives) so, I'm testing all that out too.

Heres a clue for those of you that don't know your growth season.

Think back to the time/season when your hair was the longest. Mines was longest in the spring when I was in jr. HS.

That means your spurt had to have happened in the fall or winter before that spring. Unless you meant you had the thickest NG, or had to touch-up more often that spring/summer.

I have a question. do anyones eating habits change due to the seasons? I'm wondering because maybe its not the seasons, but what we eat due to the changing seasons that cause our hair to grow better or worse-er. In the spring, does eating healther (to fit into that swimsuit for the summer) cause the hair to grow faster? In the winter, does eating more beef or protein (like in chili or stews or whatever) help keep the strands growing? Summer, eating light and healthy with occasional meats at bbq's contribute to hair health (cause your just too busy to keep still and pig out)- in addition to being more active???? Does the changing eating habits of the season contribute to the hair fluctuations in growth? should we start thinking about what we eat during our growth spurts, and just sticking with that so that we can have year long maximum growth cycles? I dont know, i may be wrong... just wondering.....:ohwell:

Summer is my growth month also, cant wait to see the growth come Sept. happy birthday to me!!!! I never knew that most people growth months were when its hot. (I learn something new everyday I log on)

Not necessarily, b/c last year I took biotin and used Lenzi's Request and I got over 2" in a month:eek: But I want be using the biotin anymore because it causes hair to grow everywhere
