Has anyone tried this brush?? Is it worth all the hype? IMO, $250 is a bit steep for a brush...but if it's worth it..and supposedly they last a long time...Does anyone have the scoop???

I personally would not spend that amount of $ on a hair brush unless its going to make my hair grow to my ***

. You can easily get a Denman version for a much lesser price.

I don't have the scoop, but I will check it out. I hope $250 is for the whole line

and not just one lousy brush

b/c I'm not paying that much for a brush, no matter how good it is!!! (For that price, it better wash, condition, and curl your hair all by itself!

I looked at some sites that sell these brushes and one was $66 so I don't believe you can get the whole collection for $250. No brush is worth that amount of money unless it's coughing up some gold coins.

Honeychild, here's the site just in case you want to get it at discounted prices.
Discounted Mason Pearson brushes

Oh, paying $250 is not even an option, but I was curious to find out what supposedly made it so distinctive. I would pay $66 to find out about it though...

It is a 100% boar bristle brush (some are nylon and some have nylon and boar bristle). You can get the same effects for a lot less. I have a 100% boar bristle brush from Goody and it was less than $100 and it does a better job on my hair than my other (more expensive) 100% boar bristle brush.

There isn't much that's really distinctive about it other than the price and the fact that it may retain the bristles a little longer than other brushes, but it still performs the same as other brushes, most likely.

I guess what makes it so distinctive is the fact that the Mason Pearson brush company is one of the oldest and prestigious brush companies the world. the have a strong reputation in producing the best quality hair brushes that do not snag or ruin your hair. And I think each brush comes with a lifetime warranty.

"Mason Pearson Hair Brushes of London, England was established as a premier hair brush manufacturer in the 1860's. From the time of its inception the company has pioneered hair brushes that are designed to maximize the health and appearance of the hair and scalp. In 1885, Mason Pearson invented and patented the pneumatic cushion for the hair brush, thus creating a unique brush that retains its desirability as an elegant cosmetic accessory to this day. The brush is produced in the "old world" manner, with many steps executed by hand and extra care taken to create a magnificent hair product."

I'm think I going to invest in one or...heck the whole collection

I think that I am going to invest in one, not @ the $250 price though. I am going to try a discount or ebay first. Thanks for the advice
