There's just something about being legally bound that makes everything real.
Everything is clearer and reality hits you on the forehead. Reality about him, yourself, your life...etc.
And true there is the option of divorce, but breaking up is much more than a notion when your married. You're in this circle of life, going through everything together and you just have to figure it out. It's tough. You can't just walk away, you can't just pout and not call/not pick-up the phone. You just have to figure it out.
