I love y'all chocolate Bunnies in here today!

I'll just be (1) refreshing my wash and go and (2) purging and reorganizing my hair products.

On Monday I started Dubaidee4c's super streamlined max hydration method by prepooing with DC, chelating, and doing a Cherry Lola Caramel Treatment. Then on Tuesday I did the following:
  1. Cleanse, DC, and do extremely extensive finger detangling (concentrating on my roots) with Naturalicious rhassoul clay wash.
  2. Spritzed with CP ayurvedic hair tea containing AVG and aloe Vera powder and tea tree oil and my favorite-smelling JBCO.
  3. Shingled Bronner Brothers gel from root to tip, starting with sections at my nape and moving forward.
  4. Plopped overnight using my microfiber towel that has a fastener, using MahagonyCurl's method.
  5. In the morning, shook out (still damp) hair and then lightly shaped hair--lightly as to not create frizz.
I haven't really had to touch my hair since, and it's garnered compliments. Good deal.

  • Shampoo: 1 lather with Sojourn Moisture
  • Treatment: Olaplex No. 2 (with heat for 20 mins)
  • Shampoo: 2nd lather with Sojourn Moisture to rinse out the Olaplex
  • Deep Conditioner: Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe (20 mins with heat), rinse then followed-up with Joico Moisture Recovery Balm for 2 mins (no heat).
  • Leave-in: Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream
  • Serum: Joico K-Pak Restorative Oil
  • Roller set
  • Moisturize: APB Moisturizing Hair Lotion

So I went to one of the millions of Dominican salons in my hood for a wash DC roller set and trim in that order. Of course that's not exactly what went down. No roller set Mami is what they said. Claimed a roller set was impossible for our textures. That's a lie.
So we got everything but the rollerset.
DD has thick plentiful strands. Her hair looks great! I on the other hand look like a wet rat with pin straight hair. Hence my need for a roller set to create the illusion of volume & body. Anyway I got a good trim we will see what it do when I return to my curls on Sunday.

Same as always:
Prepoo: coconut oil
Shampoo: Shea Moisture High Porosity
DC: Joico Moisture Recovery Balm over Colorful Neutral Protein Treatment
Leave in/Moisturize: Glycerine/water spray, little Redken Anti Snap, APB Cupuacu Avocado
Seal: Shea butter mix
Style: Large twists to stretch

Prepoo: Last night with several oils overnight. CP Oil on scalp.
Shampoo: SM Moisture Retention Shampoo
Rinse: Did my Rice Water Rinse. Decided to do it this time before DC'ing instead of after.
DC: TGIN Honey Miracle Hair Mask (added more honey to it) over hooded dryer for 45 minutes
Leave in/Moisturize: Mielle Organics White Peony Leave-in, Hydratherma Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Seal: Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian Anti-Breakage Repair Oil
Style: Several plaits and let it air dry.

Onion juice pre poo
Rhassoul clay wash (my own mix based on CurlyProverbz recipe)
Komaza Protein Strengthener DC

Then, rollerset my hair with setting foam and Camille Rose whipped butter gel.

I made my hair tea but forgot to use while rushing to rollerset my hair.

Last night:
Cleansed: MC Halo Shampoo
DC: Hairveda Acai Conditioner for 30 minutes under plastic cap with body heat
Leave In: Mane Choice AE Leave In
Sealant: Sarenzo Whipped Body Jelly

Put in twists to dry and stretch. Got box braids this morning on the length in the top. Braid installation was only 4 hours (we took a break) verses 8 on my entire head.
Going to get my sides faded next week.

Wash: The Mane Choice Detangling Hydration Shampoo
Condition: The Mane Choice Detangling Hydration Conditioner
Deep Condition: The Man Choice Mask Treatment
Leave in/Moisturizer: TGIN Butter Cream Moisturizer
Sealant: Avocado oil
Scalp: JBCO
Style: Two strand twists and leave in for a week until the next washday.

Sunday
Pre Poo: Aussie Moist/ CP oil, heat cap 1hr
Wash: CON Argan Shampoo
DC: APB Peach Hibiscus w/ Liquid Gold Green Magic on top; heat cap 45 min
Rice Water rinse (10 drops rosemary EO, 10 drops tea tree added)
Stylers: Shea Moisture Coconut Oil Leave In & Sleek N Shine Heat Protectant
Blew out hair

Will flat iron tonight....

Monday

I realize this is an old thread, but I just heard about Allandra's passing. I searched but didn't see an official thread. My condolences to her friends, family and the LHCF family.
