Male and Female dicussions only?

I dont find it discriminatory. This is a private forum (semi public forum). The owner can set forth their own rules and policys.
 
i never noticed that before, but it doesn't bother me - we already discuss several topics i prefer to not read about...(hence i keep myself outta certain threads)....
 
Give Bev more credit than that. There is a long forum going on right now that comes up sometimes with that says are People born gay. And we have several lesbian members on board who have in the past talked openly. We even have one transgenered person so it does come up every now and then.

I'm sitting here with my male gay best-friend and he was the one who noticed it- he's a lurker. So I had to ask why. No disrespect.
 
I think there are different forums all over the internet. If someone wants one that is all inclusive I am sure they could find the same on the internet somewhere (I dont see this board as being particularly stifling like some people want to make it out to be). If someone doesn't agree with the rules, then don't visit. This is not a government ran forum, this is a private forum and the individual owner makes the rules. Government and private are not mutually exclusive (essentially, the goverment has a duty to represent everyone, but a private person can exclude whoever/whatever they'd like (be it race, orientation, lifestyle, etc).

yeah, I've seen it on random occassions too. But, never a thread dedicated to a lesbian relationship. I don't know if a thread titled " My gay lover won't call me back" would survive. :ohwell: Maybe I'm wrong.

I've also seen a few profanities used, capital letters and other forum violations. The mods can't read every single post or catch every single rule being broken.

The standard seems (to me at least) same -sex relationship discussions are not the norm. The thread "are people born gay" is not the same as discussing one's personal same sex relationship.
 
You can discuss them in Off Topic if you like. I do and will continue to discuss same sex relationships in OT.
 
eh i used to be really offended by it. but now i think it's best considering some of the opinions on here about homosexuals (and some members fascination with anal sex) :ohwell:
 
You can post in OT about homosexuality.

You cannot start a thread about your homosexual relationship.

I suspect starting almost any thread specifically about your own non-heterosexuality or issues around it would flame briefly, and then head to lockdom and thread heaven.

You can talk about your sexuality in other threads, as relevant.

*shrug*

I won't pretend it's fair, but Bev's board, Bev's rules. *shrug*
 
We're not allowed to have in-depth discussions about sex either because that's the way the owner wants it.

It also pays to read the rules before subscribing.
 
Since Bev is a firm believer in Christianity.... that might be a reason why is isn't allowed to be discussed. Something like that could be offensive to other members (not referring to me)
