Trust me, it's worth paying for a hair website with no drama, clear concise videos without advertisements, and a positive community of women. It makes no difference how much one knows about hair care. You can look up old LHCF threads to see what a skeptic I was when she started the site, but I hardly ever post on here anymore and I get my money's worth over there.
ETA: I just had a chance to browse through this thread, and the negativity and name-calling is a prime example of why
her site is worth the money. There's none of that on her website. There are some other free websites and low-cost ones where the negativity is not tolerated, either.
The mis-information on LHCF is abundant. People on this website go on and on and if everything they are saying is a fact and if you dispute anything using sound reason, it's a big debate. Everyone is trying to be a popular poster by talking about how "jacked-up" every black woman's hair is (unless, of course, she's a LHCF member). Half of the threads on this site are USELESS bickering, people asking random questions that never get answered, repeated topics, and criticism of people on YouTube. You pay $6.50, but you get what you pay for
. Ads with women in bikinis, ads for tires, ads for all kinds of junk. Hopefully, I won't get banned for saying that.
When I really look at it,
I haven't learned as much on LHCF as I have from individual posters, many of whom do spin-off websites and blogs, just like Macherie.
