Lye Relaxer Question for those with 4a/b Hair

I currently use Motion's Oil Moisturizing Normal Strength Relaxer. But lately I've been thinking about switching to another one. My hair is somewhat thick(I've been told this by hairdressers, but it doesn't seem thick to me)..I also use semi-permanent dye in my hair every 8-10 weeks. I also don't use much heat in my hair (only the hooded dryer). Does anyone with similar hair have any recommedations for a Lye-Based Moisturizing Relaxer??

Where can you purchase Design Essentials if you don't have a license? I love Design Essentials. Normally I use Vitale since I cant get it but Sally's had a damaged truck sale here a while back where they sold relaxers for 1.00 (I got an Ionic blow dryer for 5 bucks!) because the packaging was damaged so I've been using Clairol Textures and Tone lye relaxer. It was 1.00 for 16 or so oz jar. It works ok but I'd much prefer Design Essentials. TIA.

I love Motions Relaxer...

Anyway, I would like to try Design Essentials Relaxer too. I know Allandra uses it but gets it done professionally. I've never seen it sold in stores.

I swear by Affrim! I have used Regular Affirm and I the Sensitive scalp Affirm (which is no-lye). They are both great.

The Sodium Hydroxcide (Lye) is 13-14 on the list of ingrediants which caught my attention. Most relaxer list the lye 3rd or 4th. The further down an item is on a list means less of it is in the product.

Let us know what you decided to use and how it came out.

Sorry-- I didn't know you had asked me a question! And to answer it, I don't know where you can buy design essentials, my ex-stylist had their products in her shop.. so I'm guessing it's a salon only product.
