love, sex, and dating...

The current series from Andy Stanley:yep:. I especially encourage those who believe women are portrayed as second class citizens in the bible to listen to message # 2 in the series. He explains what Jesus himself did and said in that regards and gets onto the men about their lax attitudes towards women.

:bighug:

Thank you Prudent 1. I love Pastor Andy Stanley.

I want to share this with some others (not on our forum).

Shimmie,
It makes me sad to know that right here on the forum there are so many women who have been lied to concerning what their role/purpose as a woman is by conniving or ignorant men and ultra feminist:blah: (ultra lonely, ultra hurt, and ultra bitter)examples:nono:. Knowing the character of Christ, having personal encounters with him, makes it impossible to fall for such deceptions. Whay would he say love all in one instance and then wink at someone being disrepectful to women in another? It does not jive. Ok, mini rant over:giggle:.

Thanks for posting! He gives very practical and common sense advice, especially about getting out of debt, being equally yoked and not shacking up before marriage. It's advice that many people do not want to hear because they believe they are the exceptions to the rules.

Ok, mini rant over:giggle:.

This is a powerful statement (the bolded) for Jesus is not double-minded.

Rant continues...

Another deception is that many women sadly succomb to this for fear that 'it's their only chance' to have someone in their lives. They end up 'marrying' these conniving type of men and are so miserable because they are in bondage to the fear of being unmarried, so much so, that they are not themselves in the relationship.

The truth be known, men are the ones who are in need of being married more than women. They can't be withiout us; and those who think they can are lying. :yep:

Wow, I didn't realize that happened in NC. I have heard too many stories of senseless deaths in Durham these past few years. I pray for their families.

@ Prudent... that story is really disturbing...getting killed, because of a rumor... four souls gone, just like that. :nono:

This story hurts.

Yes, what was the current state of their relationship with the Father I wonder? No one believes anything will ever happen to them.
"Millsap told his brother, Dustin Lyons, 27, of Durham, that he had had sex with Pierce the weekend before the killings.""It was a bad situation that went down with those girls," Lyons said. "He was very upset with even the person that turned him onto the girl he had sex with. ... He made a wrong decision, but my brother didn't live a life of this type of stuff. " It all fun and games until it's time to reap...

^^ You're on point, today. I had similar thoughts today... taking Life for granted... yeah, fun and games until the appointed time. There was a really good thread in this forum on soul ties and their consequences. That's deception to the nth degree...mainly because the lowest level of 'love' can be mistaken for Love, at its highest level.. Agape. Please don't get me started.. Devil gets things so twisted, what's up is down and what's down is up...

^^^Laela,
Say dat! Hebrews 11 comes to mind:yep:.
Sin feels good while it's going down:poledancer::beer2: but boy oh boy the later ons are the devil:heated::cry:.
Problem is errbody likes to pretend their later on is not coming:lala:.

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.
(KJV)
25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Thank God for grace and mercy...
