Hmmm. Thanks! I was wondering what the Meringue is actually for. So its to curl those hard to curl spots huh. Sounds pretty cool. Id like to get my hands on some more curly pudding or meringue but it is so expensive. do you have an ideas of where to get these items for cheaper?
TIA
Yes, the Meringue works great on my hard to curl areas. I don't know of any way to get these items cheaper. I don't balk too much at the price of the Pudding or Meringue, because they work so well and you get a generous amount. The 16oz jar can last a while if it's used properly, and I often get second, third and fourth day hair from one use (a lidful), with minimal touchups required. However, the Buttercreme to me is not worth the price.

Beautiful curls!!! What result do you get with the Curly Pudding on your newgrowth?

Aww thanks! You look so pretty in your avatar! What did you use to get your pony poof? I love it! As far as my new growth. It seems to loosen it up a bit and define the curl. I will continue to use this especially around touch up time!

Chaya,

Your hair is beautiful by the way.

On a side note, when I was fully relaxed, right now Ive been transitioning since feb of last year I used to wash my hair, add conditioner of course and some kind of frizz serum.

I would then spray John Feda's "Scrunch spray" all over my hair. Then I would sometimes let it air dry or sometimes use the diffuser. But I say all this to say I got very similar results, my girls were a little smaller I think b/c of my pattern. But this stuff worked great on my relaxed hair. I don't know how many of you guys have tried it. But inititally while it was wet i didn't like I thought it looked horrible but when I checked on it later it looked great. It does require a lot of moisture so I wouldn't suggest this wash n/go on a regular basis.

Has any body else tried John Freda's Scrunch Spray?

I think I will have to learn to use it more sparingly. I know in areas that I used to much is a little stiff ( this is day three for me).

Oh by the way. It requires a lot of scrunching I repeat A LOT:-)

Thanks for the compliment!
I have tried john frieda's dream curls curl perfecter with only so-so results. i had to scrunch for entirely too long. With the pudding I did the original scruch shapping and let the air do the rest. I would occasional scruch a section to make sure it was doing its job but it seems like the more I manipulate the more frizzy. With the pudding it seems to work best that you do the original scruch and leave it alone.

Hi Balisi,
What specifically did you not like about the Buttercreme? I see they have Baby Buttercreme for children now too. Thanks in advance for your response. :)

BTW, Chaya, gorgeous curls! Your pix have gotten me curious b/c once the baby comes I'm not going to have time to fuss n muss with my hair.

The Buttercreme is just so-so. It doesn't seem to work with the other Curly products. What I mean is that it negates the curly effect if I apply it AFTER my curls have dried. It's a moisturizer and nothing more. I expected it to be so much more than it was, considering the price.

Thanks Miss Bobbie, Nyambura and Cincy! I hate spending that much on any product. I am so thankful that my sister had some collecting dust under her sink. I think I will invest in more once it runs out.
nyambura- it is so s quick and easy for me to use on my relaxed hair. The only thing is waiting for it to airdry. It usually takes my hair 1 hour to be 90% dry. Not bad!

thanks for posting about this product. i have always wanted to try it and i am relaxed, but my hair is extremely wavy. so i can't wait to do a test on my hair.

Do you think the Curly Pudding would work on 4a hair? ...also, my hair is relaxed, but not bone straight...I am texturizing. I think it would work well for my texturized new growth, but not sure if it would work so well for the rest of my straight hair/ends...:scratchch

If ou have some type of curl pattern before you even add products then yes it should work.

Chaya your hair came out fantastic...Im scurrd to buy that it might make my hair curl all the way up to my scalp

Thanks, balisi.:) I will save my pennies. I will stick with the moisturizers I already have.

You're most welcome, Chaya. I loved your curls so much I placed an order. My hair takes a while to dry too but that doesn't bother me. I like the fact that you were able to put the product in your hair and then not bother it again while it dries. An hour = 90% dry is not bad at all. Thanks for the review. :)

...By Miss Jessie! I used in on soaking wet hair today after washing and conditioning it. I used a little leave in first and then used a generous amount of curly pudding. I wasnt expecting much because I have relaxed hair ( 8 weeks post touch up) and I have triend wash and goes before with only mediocre results. This stuff worked great on my 3c/4a gently relaxed hair. I have gorgeous curly ringlets like used to have before I started getting relaxers and my hair does not frizz AT ALL. Ill try to post pictures soon. This will be my new summer style. YAY!!!!

I have a question. Did you use a lid full of the Curly Pudding on each section or over all the sections combined? The directions weren't very clear...I would think that the product wouldn't last that long if you had to use a lid full on ALL sections...so I just want to be sure...and ask how you used it.

I used a lid amount on the whole head. It is really hard to not bother your hair after applying the product. Trust me, the results will be MUCH worse if you dont leave it alone. Youy will get those straight ends and frizz just apply the product and do the initial scunch and LEAVE IT ALONE. Go take a drive with the windows down!

Thanks! Your hair looks so pretty in the pictures. I cannot wait to try it...{deciding on which product to get though {Curly Pudding or the BubbleUp stuff}...I wonder how it would work on my hair. Oh, did you use one of the blow dryers with the nozzles on it as well?

Oh no. I just washed it, conditioned it, applied the product, scrunched a bit and let it air dry. The hardest part it no touch ing it while it is drying!
