*I shampooed and applied Summit Mend conditioner all over my hair except for the section I was doing the patch test on.

I did a patch test last night. I mixed up a tsp of lp with enough hot water to make a very stiff paste. I let it sit for about an hour and then added a few dabs of Summit Mend conditioner. It turned into a gritty, green souffle'. LOL I put it on the kinkiest section of my hair (the hair over my ears) and let it sit for two hours. I didn't add any oils to it. It was gritty, but it never got hard on my hair.

I went to bed with Mizani Moisturfuse on that section last night.

The lp rinsed out easier than the Hennalucent. It smells better, too!

I don't usually notice any kink loosening effects until a few days later when I shampoo...

My hair definitely feels soft and conditioned. I bought some for my cousin, but I think I'm going to keep it for myself!

I'm going to do a real treatment Tues or Wed.

Sassygirl I'm glad you are happy with your results

Ditto on that. Of course then I'll have yet ANOTHER product that I can't use until I take these braids out.

I did a full treatment last night.

I made a stiff paste out of 3 TBS of lp and hot water. I let it sit for about an hour. I added 1 tsp of coconut milk

and 1/3 cup of Elasta QP DPR-11. I left it on for 5 hours, rinsed, applied some KeraCare Humecto, put on a plastic cap and went to bed. I rinsed this morning.

IMO, it works like Hennalucent only faster and with better ingredients. My hair is usually slightly stiff after rinsing out Hennalucent (before using a moisturizing conditioner). It wasn't stiff after rinsing the lotus powder. I still used a moisturizing conditioner, though. And it smells better, too. It reminds me of my grandmother's perfume. One of the first Estee Lauder fragrances... Loud, but nice.

In a week or two I'm going to try using the lp alone. No extra conditioners.

You can get it here...
At HennaJoy's site everydayhenna.com
It's in the "EveryDay Mehndi Herbal Products for Health and Beauty" section.

Just to let y'all know, when I ordered 2 pks of Ahmad henna from HennaJoy's site, she threw in a free sample of Lotus Powder Plus & some great-smelling glycerine soap that she made herself, as well. Initially I thought her shipping costs were high but these "freebies" made it worthwhile for me. It was great I will buy from her again definitely.....

I got a sample of henna and soap when I purchased the lotus powder plus. I've only tried the lotus powder on a small section of my hair. I can't get up the energy for all that rinsing to do my entire head yet.

I got a soap and henna sample, too. I didn't want to say anything and make someone else feel left out. I thought I was special.

I plan to try the henna when my hair is 100% natural. The soap is too pretty to use! I don't want to mess it up...

Sassygirl see how HennaJoy made us both feel special?

I love the soap & initially I, like you, didn't want to mess it up but now I simply love the smell & am going to write & ask her if she has a matching body splash. She made the soap herself.....

I have been searching high and low for something to color my gray AND be healthy for my hair & I really enjoyed the Ahmad henna for that purpose. I think I can get away with doing it only once a month, its a keeper...

Well what can I say. If it makes you happy...then I gotta be happy too...

I'm glad you liked the extras too. They were indeed there because you are special.
