What do you guys think on christians playing lotto?
I remember when I was little my dad used to say that playing lottery number is evil and not Godly, (bible verse would be appreciated).

I rarely play slots or anything of the sort. It's more of a FUN thing for me then anything else. Lord knows, I wasted money on a lot more frivolous things.

But I'm not opposed to a winning ticket!! LOL!!!

ETA: I might buy myself 20 lotto tickets as a gift to myself for my b-day....hmmm

My girlfriend asked me this question and got mad at me and hung up the phone, I think. I can't seem to reach her. I do not play the lottery, but I never really did it urks me to see those tickets adding up and its paper worth nothing after they call the numbers and I didn't win, so I never caught on to it. NOw that I am Saved. I don't even think about it. Her question was if my parents won and gave me money. I should not accept it because I believe or now believe that its a form of gambling. So because I believe that I should not accept their gifts to me. I didn't know how to answer it. I said I never really thought about it like that. Which is really true.
So what would you do if you think its a form of Gambling a SIN and your family member best friend etc., won. Can you, would you accept the money? I have not looked into this but I am wondering what you all think of this. have you considered this as well? Never thought about it. But I sure can use a new house and a car, just saying because that is my real situation right now.
