Loose low side ponytail for formal event: Yea or Nay?

What is the neckline/shoulder line of your top? I think the pony would be nice with something off the shoulder or with thin straps. If your outfit has sleeves and/or covered shoulders I don't like the pony so much.

i said "maybe"...i think it would be cuter if you made it a loose low side bun instead. not really a fan of "ponytails" at formal events.

I think a low, side swept kind of messy bun would be a better choice because a ponytail could be a little too informal. You can have a few pieces hanging down to complete the look. Something like this:

It will work, but you'll definitely need some hair accessories to jazz it up. I think low side ponytails are lovely and elegant when done properly.

I do this for work sometimes. I would post a picture but I can never get the camera to show it correctly. It looks nice and elegant so I say dress it up with a flower and go for it.
