Look at the amount of product she uses

I was disturbed by all those products AND her lack of edges.

And she calls it "creaming." That sounds like something out of a porno :look:

:giggle:

But really, she seemed as if she was just putting what she did out there and was looking for (hopefully) constructive criticism. She also gets points for trying though. Every single one of those products was a "growth aid".

??? I'm confused! slap stuff on as in use more product(s) to deal with dryness? or u meant something else.

For the lady, she doesn't seem to know any better :ohwell:.. oh well. At least it is not advice shes giving....

A little sense of humour is required whilst reading my Opening Post :perplexed

I came in here thinking "oh here they go again, blasting someone who just chooses to do something differently" .... lol, but after watching that, man oh man. That would definitely be too much product for me. Who knows? maybe it's working for her.

BUT ladies, please don't go off on her on YT. Take a moment to think about your comments before you post them, if your motive is to help her out. How bout we keep it tactful eh :yep:

I'm all for suggestions/new ideas but i watched the video 1 and a half times (yes the excessive amount of product seemed to fasinate me) and i just had to share.

I'm not a subscribed member of Youtube so i won't be leaving a comment and don't think i would anyway.

I watched a couple of her other vids and heard her accent :nono: I promise not all of us in the UK are doing this. For a change it's been really hot here so she must feel faint when she goes out with all that head gear on.

Alrighty.. Maybe just maybe she's still going thru the era of figuring out what works for her and what doesn't..justtt maybe. Honestly, this is a bit much on ur scalp and hair and all .Combatting dryness is one thing..but over doing it is another i had to stop after the 4th product. You can combat dryness with one product and sealing just that simple... hopefully one day she will realize.. less is more...

Wow as short as her hair is all that bs she put on it obviously isn't working. What the heck does she need all of those diff things for? Her hair will never grow like that.

There are members on this board that are doing the same thing. Instead of dr. miracles and doogrow they are using mn, megatek and beemine/mtg/bountless tresses. And yes there some people using all three at the same time. I have read it here many times on this board.

Your right Milk Chocolate One, but I would think her products would be a lot more heavier. Most of her products contain traits of petroleum and mineral oil. Those items are very heavy and greasy on the scalp and suffocate it. So all that build-up is going to be necessary.

someone should point her to a hair board.
like and intervention of sorts ...

u UK ladies need to write a reggi and slip under her door or sumtin, or have MI6 invade her house to get rid of those weapons of hair destruction

When I first saw Ateyaa, I was amazed at how much stuff she left in her hair. Chi Silk Infusion, Aphogee Green Tea, Aphogee Leave-In.

Before that I had no clue that you were supposed to leave crap in your hair. I thought THAT was a lot.

When I washed my hair day before yesterday, I left in Aphogee Green Tea, Shescentit Coco-Cream Leave in, Shescentit Jojoba Milk Styling Cream, And Sally's Argon Oil. I also put a bit of shescentit seyani butter on my ends.

I know that's a lot of shescentit products, but my hair likes it. As much as I want to "pj-on" and move to other products, my hair like shescentit best.

That's still a lot when you think where I came from. Am I putting too much crap in my hair? I didn't really put anything on the scalp though.

I bet the doorknobs in her house greasier than a mug :/ seriously can't knock a girl for trying, she'll learn eventually >>less is more<<

What's the purpose of each of them?
If they are all moisturizers, why not use the best one and seal with your oil?

Hmmm. I guess I could just use the coco-cream leave-in. I was using the jojoba milk "styling cream" as a setting product for my twists. However, I doubt I really need it. The leave in can serve that purpose.

Thanks for offering your opinion. I really don't like the thought of a bunch of stuff left in my hair. But I know my hair gets hard and dry without a leave-in.

I wanted to stop her from putting that nasty Dr Miracle stuff on her hair...
I didn't get to see what else she put on her hair, but if I was her I'd apply some Megatek mixed w/Castor Oil and nothing else.

I thought her final look was cute. Its a little too much in the summer tho. My head would be on fiyah

:lachen::lachen::lachen:

Thats what I said...Between all that stuff she put on her scalp...Then on top of that a cap , then a wig then a scarf...
My scalp would be screaming...

Couldn't watch it all. IA with what some have said, she's probably trying to grow her hair but she's going about it all wrong.

Someone with a YT account, please recommend LHCF to her! She needs our help.

And I personally use a lot of product. I can't do the dime-sized amount stuff, some hair just needs a lot of product. I leave in my conditioner after rinsing, I use a palm (or two) full of moisturizer, I seal with a good amount of oil. But not one drop touches my scalp! That's my main concern about her technique, not the actual product brands or the amounts she's using, but the suffocation of the scalp. That can't be healthy.

Well, I hope she finds this site someday. She looks like she wants to put in the work for nice hair.

is that moisturizing? basing your scalp to prep for a relaxer or hell, applying a relaxer?? i'm itchy watching that.

she had a lot going on with the products, but the wig and the scarf were TOTALLY cute :yep:...I wanna steal that scarf look....:look:

How is she moisturizing her hair when she is only putting it on her scalp??? I guess. I don't put anything on my scalp so I am quite bias. But uh that's doing to much.
