Hello ladies I just wanted to know if you have any pics of before and after your stretch........I would love to observe the fruits of your labor. TIA

I definitly will be posting mine I'm not sure if I'm gonna quit at 12 weeks or go until december.....it all depends on whether or not I can handle showing up to my new job looking a HAM. Why am I so self conscious??.....I really would like to stretch the whole 6 months....and I would if I wasn't so into first impressions:ohwell:

Sorry no pics but i usually stretch to 16wks and i never look like a HAM. During the summer i mostly do braidout to kinda camouflage the new growth. But mostly i wear buns. As long as my hair is well moisturized and my edges are slicked back, i'm G-O-O-D!:lachen:

Yeah I know that I can do the same thing (Braid outs, buns and all)......but I guess I feel the need to please the "white man" with long flowing straight hair for my first day at the job. Damn the pressures of Society!!!!

Next time take some pics girly!

Yeah, yeah, yeah! You just wanna show off your pretty hair the first day, lol. I know.

Well Ladies,
I am on a 4 month stretch right now. I am wearing individual curly braids (Love them!). This is my true first stretch, so I am going to try and maintain for a year. I do not have pics yet, but I am working on getting a digital camera and start my history photo albums.

*P.S. No one has to show off for the "white man" more than my. I am a computer engineer and am in people's faces EVERY day! Funny though..I get more compliments on my braids than anything. The white women here loves them! (they haven't seen my natural hair since I've started this job, and they wont!..lolol)

Congratulations on your 4 month stretch.....braids are a great idea to deal with the two different textures. I can't wait until you post the pics. I need to update my album as well.

BTW my position at my new job is a Petroleum Engineer (small world) so you and I both know about putting on for "whitey" as do many others I suppose. After a few months on the job I won't really care what my hair looks like but as for right now I got to put on a show for them.........

I have some pics of my 6-month stretch in my 08 fotki. (sigh) I looked a H.A.M. but it paid off.

I have a couple of pics.

This is full head shot at 4 months post http://public.fotki.com/special83/progress-pictures/img2869.html

This is new growth shot at 5 months post http://public.fotki.com/special83/progress-pictures/img3409.html

I would put the images here but the pics always seem to disappear soon after.

I don't have any recent pics, but the time after that I only stretched 4 months. 4 months seems to be the optimum for me

WOW I love your hair in the second pic....it looks so beautiful!!
