OK I know this question has been asked a million kazillion times but I'd appreciate it being answered again.

Which brands of LYE relaxers do you use that have given you good results.
Just the name and strength type will do. Please don't /images/graemlins/spank.gif me for asking thins again /images/graemlins/nono.gif

Hi LD,

O.k, I just tried Mizani-regular strength, and it was pretty good. Optimum RX- regular strength was good for me also. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Design Essentials Lo-Lye relaxer. It doesn't come in a "strength" per se, it's just lo-lye so it's less harsh and acts as a texturizer.

LD, Dudley's mild conditioning lye relaxer.

Pmichael, that is interesting. Lo-lye, what are the ingredients. Can this be found in the beauty supply? How well does it work on your hair? Thanks

Motions Oil Mild, I loved it my hair, and I used it in a friend's hair and it worked wonderfully!

Can someone tell me the difference between a lye and a no-lye relaxer? Which one is best? I've never used a lye relaxer. I'm getting relaxed this weekend and wondering which kind to get.

How can we not answer you? you gave us such a lovely hair progress chart. /images/graemlins/smile.gif I use Designer Touch, regular.

I have 4a fine hair and with this relaxer I can wrap my hair and wear it straight or use a leave-in with oil for a curly look.

Hello! I am new to tis discussion board and was wondering if you know where we can purchase relaxers that have lye in them. Most of the salons here in southern ca only sell relaxers that are no lye. Thanks for your help!

You should be able to find them at the Beauty Supply store. THere are also online stores, check vendor discussion forum for a few.

Awwww thanks Islandgirl

I use Affirm mild relaxer, although my edges need to be using the regular strength. I wonder if the regular strength might prevent the edges from rebelling after only 2 wks? /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif.
