I came across this and thought it might be helpful for looking for Indian stores for the Ayurvedas. I found it when I was looking for stores in MD. I'm so glad I found one 10 minutes from my house, saves me shipping.

if you guys have a Patel Brothers in your area, go to them FIRST. I love Patel Bros., they've been in business for years, they're clean, the people are usually pretty helpful, and they have good selections and wide variety of items.

Exactly the chain I'd recommend..PATEL BROTHERS have been in biz SINCE 1974 with a good product turnover..while picking up your hair products, please take your time to explore the food shelves:the freezers are loaded with all kinds of wonderful goodies like samosas, pannas, sweets, veggies,parathas,puran, {roti like thingys}....I love PATELS.

They forgot the Patel Brothers on Liberty ave an 124th street, in Ozone park queens. Its closer for the brooklyn people. exit 17 off the belt left ob crossbay right on liberty ave.
