omg! I may try this when my hair turns all grey!
ok, this is a forum called "for women of color" and she isn't a woman of color, but her hair is just so amazing that I just HAD to share this. my jaw dropped, she looks like a fairy!

My grandmother had that same hair color a few years back. She always dyed her her black since the age of 13 (she went grey at that age). Well, a few years ago she thought she was too old to keep dying her hair black. She stopped getting those black rinses and her hair turned purple and grey/silver. It was the prettiest thing ever and looked natural some how. When I go grey, I will be putting some purple in it.

My great grandma{hanging out with Granny at her Halsey Street Beauty salon was a weekly eye treat}and several of her church lady friends sported the lavender hair...I loved it and still do love to see it on a well coiffed head. I was determined to be a lavlady or a silver vixen until I discovered how beautiful and healthy my hair is with henna..now my silver is all red and gold.
