Lil Chop Hair Cutting Dilemma

Ladies,

I have been going back and forth about whether or not to do a "Lil Chop" [after 8/10/13]. The deal is this, I bowed to peer pressure and dyed my hair in the name of "You won't get a job; age discrimination" blah, blah, blah. I'm about being true to myself these days and the dyed hair is kind of bugging me.

I've got peeps all around me 'bout to die at the thought of a cut. The hubby commented about bleaching the black (which really won't look like my God-given, natural, white/silver/grey locks).

Checking out my blog what do you hair divas think: leave it be and allow the 7-9 year time it will take for the white to reach my current APL, or cut the crap out and let it do what it do. I'd say I have about a 4" length of the salt-n-pepper so it is not like I'd be bald-headed.

In all fairness I suppose you should see what I'd look like with white/bleached hair. Here is a link: http://www.graciouslygrey.com/dyeing-hair-white/

Thanks, ladies.

I think either choice will look nice. I always tell people to pick a cute cut if you are chopping. I had a great cut when I chopped 11 months ago so I got so many compliments it built my courage up.

If you maintain APL it will only take 5-7 months to get to mostly natural color. You can wear a scarf around your natural color until it gets long enough to pony. It might be fun to see what a reverse ombre looks like. I have seen teenagers with the tips of their hair dyed black.

My best advice cover your roots with a pretty scarf until August, check out pretty cuts, and see how you feel then.

OMG!!! love the grey I henna mines but I love being salt and pepper. I think if the black is really bothering you how about dying the black part your natural hair color until it all grows out just so you can keep your length. I never like dyin black anyways it is too harsh. but because your grey is so white I think it is ok but you know what it looks like in person.

but I love your hair.

Then by all means, please, bookmark, subscribe (whatever you call it) to my blog. It is new, I am in learning phase, but would surely love someone to dialogue every now and again. Always nice to know someone reads it and if they get it why that's even better. :drunk:
