i'd wear it in one, and use castor oil, aloe and honey (i always knew about the castor oil and aloe, but only just got hipped to the honey)to keep the moisture.
I don't know what I would do! My head is too big to wear a fro...I would look scary...so I guess I would braid it up like Aaliyah...and use my trusty coconut oil.
Lol hairlove, I would wash it with plain water, use natural oils (coconut, olive, castor etc...), aloe vera oil, and wear a big afro puff ponytail all the time like I did when I was little in my pre-relaxer days.
I'd use natural oils like essential oils and olive oil. I'd wear the same protective styles as now, probably keeping my hair braided (my own braids) more though. I'd still wash my hair often and keep it moisturized.
It would be like the old days and their hair looked good too.
I would surely say this:
1) cornrows to protect my hair (as I'm doing now)
2) my products would be the fruits and vegetables of the earth such as mango, oranges, etc.
3) Natural oils to maintain moisture
With these three ideas I believe that I would still reach my hair goals.
Lots and lots of water, natural oils, butters, braidouts, braids, and buns. I'd get nature smart in a hurry and concoct my own shampoos and condtioners and a good hairdress/moisturizer. We all seem to have the right idea!
My grandmother lived in a little town with no electricity or running water. She always had hair down her waist. All I remember her doing is washing her hair with soap and combing with Castor oil. When she started going gray, she used henna. She always had her hair in a ponitail or in 2 braids.
