Jump for joy!! I'm always about more sisters being educated about what to do with and for their hair.

And as I always say, if we act like adults, trolls get bored real quick. Don't feed em, and they'll fall away.

Not everybody can do the LHCF thing...
it's easier to read magazines, books, and blogs
with lots of pretty pictures and layouts...
maybe we get an influx of lurkers, but I think it
takes a certain amount of patience to learn LHCF...
 
I read her blog a few times a week. I always read comments people leave on her blog and I'd say that probably most of her readers know about LHCF and other hair websites catering to women of color. I doubt the post about Miss Jessie's new product will send trolls over here.

I am pretty new to LHCF, but not to hair forums. My hair wasn't damaged before coming here, I already knew all the acronyms and what not. Not all newbies are new to healthy hair.

You know what, I don't know you very well but I was thinking about you specifically when I said what I said. :yep: I was about to type, "What if we have another JustKiya come in?" but then I didn't want to single anyone out, since so many women have been helpful here. I usually lurk because, 3 years into my membership, I still have yet to nail down a regimen :look:, but I find your advice to be quite helpful! :yep: So who am I to prevent another KiyaFizzle, StillALady's Boundless Tresses, MsCocoface's Ayurveda, etc. from coming in? There are many women who already know good things to do and their hair is thriving, so they don't necessarily feel a need to join LHCF. But if they do, I'm looking forward to hearing what they have to say! :yep:
 
I would say "welcome aboard" like we do everybody else. They will find out that hair care takes responsibility and dedication. If they are serious about the health and care of their own hair they will stay...and realize that it takes work, research, and endurance.if not well....you know.

I think that since we visit her site too, why can the board not return the favor. We as women should embrace each other and not harm or cause hurt to one another. The community is what gives prosperity.

I'll jump for joy. I know how it felt to not know how to take care of my hair and to think that i had bad hair. If i had found this website earlier on, i would had really long healthy hair by now. I'll definately be happy a.ss hell that more black women join this site, and so that the myths and misconceptions or black hair can little by little be thrown out of world.
 
knowledge is power. I dont know where I would be if it wasnt for this board. My cousin was a blessing.

as for the horse products, the comparison pictures should shut up ANY laughter.
 
im just mad this means more people to share products with. its bad enough most of our fave products are now hard to find.....

her blog introduced me to macherieamour's blog...which introduced me to cowashing...which got me hooked on LHCF. i cant say anything negative.

plus...there is a fee to post...so that should get rid of at least some of the naysayers.
 
Speaking of blogs, Sandra Rose (i think is her name), also has a blog on LHCF, however, it's not very positive at all. (which i'm sure most of u probably know already). but just thought i'd put it out there seeing as how we talking about LHCF being mentioned on blogs and whatnot. and i was just 'taken back' by what sandra rose said.
