LHCF...The Blessing/The Curse

Now let me preface this by saying that I LOVE me some LHCF but...

it seems that I was less stressed, anxious, obsessed about my hair when I was ignorant about it=ignorance is bliss.

Now that I know more, I am called to do more and this slightly irritates me. Not that I want to be irresponsible when it comes to my hair but can I just do one rollerset without checking for breaking/shedding hairs? Can I just go to the store without checking out/making comments about everybody's hair? (ie. "Her hair is gorgeous!" , "Man, she needs some serious deep moisturizing", "She needs a trim", "I would kill someone to have his hair!", etc., etc., etc.).

When I joined this forum I literally only had maybe three or four items in my stash. Now I have bins of products...Indian products, horse products, appliances...I even pulled my niece into Petsmart looking for Eqyss Avocado Mist. She was like:nono:. Then I dragged her to the Tack and Trolley store and she was like, "I've always wanted to ride a horse.":nono:
Poor thing thinks that I am soooooooooo weird.

Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest...

You are sooo right! I have become far more high maintenance (and broker) in the recent months than ever before. I have the whole keracare line, dominican product, kenra line and boxes of henna. Not to mention my new high powered hairdryer. I just bought toiletry bags to cart around products on my travel to replace my huge tote. I've become a hair monster!!!:spinning:

I feel the same way!!! before i would never spend the amount of $$ and time I do now on my hair. It gets irritating at times but I am def. thankful that I stumbled upon LHCF.

I know what you mean. I had a few items under my sink, now I've had to buy a rolling three-drawer cart to house my stuff (not to mention the stuff on the shelves). I guess after a phase of PJism, once the staples are found, everything calms down. I sure hope it does anyway. I'm tired of dragging my kids to the pet stores and every Indian store I can find in the phone book!

And the kids are looking like :nuts::nuts:

I've always been a pj....but being on this board really enlightened me. Now I purchase quality products....heck now I make my own stuff with butters and oils. I removed cones, mineral oil, and alcohol from my "hair diet" and my hair has never been happier!! The only bad thing is....my online purchases have increased. Oh well.:drunk:

I never was a PJ before the forum. I just bought any old shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes I would shampoo my hair and not use conditioner:sad:.
I also made sure I had tons of gel, pomade, hair wax and grease:blush:. Not to mention tracks, ponytails, hair glue, crimping irons, and pressing combs that I used on relaxed hair all the time...:wallbash:

Now since the forum my money has been given to BSS. Now I can't wait till I get paid on August 1...It's a wrap...I'm buying some Aveda products, dominican products, some essential oils, a heating cap, scarves, hair dryer....and the list goes on and on...
