Let's say that LHCF existed in the early 1900's, when we started really pressing our hair.

Would there be a post that asks: Does straight hair look stupid on black women?

Probably not since assimilation was generally the goal during that time.

Yes, because looking "stupid" is subject to each persons taste and style.

Nah, it would more likely be along the lines of 'Look at her all darkskinned, trying to look like a white woman! She ain't gonna be able to pass like her sister does!!"

Somehow, I don't think there was ever a time in Diasporic African HISTORY we black women weren't beefing/stressing/making accusations about hair and how other women choose to wear it.

Hopefully in the NEXT 400 years, we'll grow past that....
