Let the Glory of the Lord Rise Upon Us!

Good word. Thanks for sharing.

Lord transform us so that we may declare and show your glory!!

Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples. 1 Chronicles 16:24

Thank you for this message sidney!! It is truly a blessing! I am trying to constantly dwell in His presence no matter where I am. Thank you again! :hug3:

Thanks sidney. Do you have a blog? I need these refreshing insightful messages.

In Exodus 20:19 fear caused the people of Israel to make a mistake many of us still make today. Instead of they themselves being exposed to the glory of God by being in His presence, they asked Moses to Speak to God for them and then he Moses speak to them. How many of us would prefer someone else to go and experience the presence of God for us and just tell us about it and what they think we should do, instead of allowing God to reveal Himself to us and having to deal with the purification process. This can be a serious problem if the person we are depending on is not genuine. Experiencing the presence of God for ourself gives more strength to change, grow and overcome than self will or encouragement from others.

You give so much food for thought and self examination.

The "weight of His Glory"

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

A thousand years are but one day to God...sometimes I just am in awe that those "moments" we know as years, months or even days fade in comparison to eternity. Always brings fresh meaning to "this too shall pass."

Meditating on this Scripture this week, thanks again, Sidney... Amein!~

You know I never knew that shekinah glory means to indwell.

But if we're already in Christ upon the confession of our faith, then we automatically have "shekinah glory" through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Colossians 1:27 "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"

So we as the body of Christ, don't have to ask God for his glory, his grace, his shekinah glory, and his Spirit to indwell in us because it's already there and promised to us upon the day you trusted Christ as Lord and Savior.

If anything we should always should ask that the Holy Spirit will fill us with himself according to Gal 5:16.

Since believers in Christ have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, you will know them by the fruits of the Spirit.

Gal 5:22-23 "22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

I believe, as you have pointed out from Galatians 5:16, that we have to constantly be refilled with his spirit. In Acts 2, we see that the church is first filled with his spirit. And in Acts 4, we see that they are filled again. We have to constantly be filled. God commands us to walk in the spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Why would he tell us to do so, unless there was the ability to do so. When we stay in the spirit, we are able to display the fruit. We become filled with his spirit during prayer and worship (see Acts 2, and 4). If we abide in him, he will abide in us. John 15.

Sin also quenches the holy spirits power in our life. Therefore, you must make an effort not to quench the holy spirits power.

God does not waste anything! Every trial, every test, every thing that happens in your life as eternal gain. Not one thing is wasted! He even bottles our tears! Psalm 56:8.
