When you are in doubt about whether you should or shouldn't do something, pray. When you are in doubt, you can also ask yourself, is this something that God would want me to do? Sometimes it's clear cut, like, one thing is good and one this is bad. Othertimes, it's not some simple, that's when you need to wait and pray about it.
You obviously can have input in your life, because ultimately you decide what you are going to do, but again, ask whether it is part of God's will for you. Sometimes you have to wait for that answer, but eventually, he will show you what He wants for you.
I don't know what it feels like to stop doing something? I don't get what you mean by manipulation. How can someone manipulate their lives or better yet how can they not
Stopping means you stop stressing, you stop worrying, you stop waiting, you stop feeling sad, you stop being consumed with whatever it is that you are unsure about, and pray about it. You let God work it out. If I am interested in a guy, I can manipulate the situation by being overly aggressive, overanalyzing things that he says, calling my firends to see what I can do to get his attention, I can try to put on the sexiest outfit, show up to places where I know he'll be, or I can simply, allow God to work things out. Afterall, if I'm menat to be with someone, it will happen. If you meant to have a certain job, it will happen. That's not to say that we shouldn't take any action - if you want a job, you have to submit resumes, interview, etc, but sometime we go entirely overboard.
Yeah, I am still struggle to find a career that God wants me to have. I don't understand how I when I am manipulating my life and when I am not.
What are some examples of when someone is letting go and letting God.
If you are looking for a carrer that God wants for you, pray about it. Then you write down the kinds of jobs that you are interested in. I believe that God gives us interests for a reason. Then, write down what you are good at, what you enjoy doing, what your strengths are. Then figure out how your talents line each with each job. God also gives us talents so that we can find a line of work that lines up with His purpose for our life . When you have some more clarity, look for companies that woud fit you. During this process, you continue to pray for God to lead you to the right job and He will take over.
The flip side is saying "I like to/want to do XYZ, so that's what I'm gonna do no matter what." And never consulting God about it.

Because that is all I have been doing for years now. I have dropped of school for like the 3-4 time know. I feel like I have the right to worry and obsess becuase I don't know what else I am suppose to be doing. I need a goal. I need be working at something. I don't know what should I be doing in the place of worrying and obsessing about what I should do?

I used to have aproblem with the consult God thing too. I would always think I was waiting to hear God's voice in the literal sense. Now, for me, it's a feeling. A feeling of contentment...a feeling that I am doing the right thing. So one day I feel unsure about something and then all of a sudden, I feel like it's the right thing to do. That, to me, is God giving me direction. Sometimes the "sign" comes from someone else confirming or reinforcing what I had been asking God for clarity about. But usually, its a feeling of direction. It's like one day the road map has all kinds of twists and turns, and once God responds, I feel some of those twists and turns in the map are removed. There are less roads, less confusion, and more direction. SO then I have a better idea of what to do and what not to do.
Instead of worrying, do something constructive, because worrying SOLVES NOTHING. THink about it. But action, can help take the worry away. Yes, you should pray about it, but also take action...For example, I don't think God would ever say "don't go to school." You are doing something positive. So with school or college, figure out what you want to major in, what school has the best program for your major, do you want to go away or do you want to stay near home, figure out how much you can afford to spend, etc...
Are you the one who said you went to Clark? I remember reading a post about that...
