Man, I get no love on my posts.....? lol

Anyway, I very recently put up a post about lecithin and wheat germ. Just wanted to say that I just ran out and bought some lecithin in softgels.

I think I know what the key is to this lecithin: it has inositol !! I've read in health books that this is the main ingredient needed for hair growth. This stuff is in WGO. So anyway...

Wait...these softgels only have 1.36g of lecithin.......the liquid lecithin has 15.5g........hmmm........I need to make an exchange.

But you get the point.

You know, I was just in the health store and I saw lecithin. The stuff looks so thick! I was tempted, but I just bought monoi oil instead because I ran out of my reg. coconut oil. I did not realize this was in WGO. Maybe that explains why it has the consistency that it does. That stuff is thick, too!!! And if you mix it with castor oil, it has the consistency of honey...Takes some getting used to...Anyway, interesting...Can you feel the love? LOL!

Oooooh, you were talking about consuming it!!! That's even more interesting! I have not heard of that. In the health store they had it in the section with the hair treatments, not for consumption. (I just saw your other post.) Report back on your progress!

I've only used (well attempted to use) the liquid lecithin on my hair. It was a sticky gooey mess I went way too heavy on it. I used to take lecithin granules as a supplement but I can't remember why but I know it wasn't hair related. Let us know your results!

awwwww....I do feel the love.......thanks, guys.

So, I went back to the store and got liquid lecithin instead of the softgels I had previously gotten. So, I just tried one tablespoon full (15.5g lecithin = 250mg inositol and 450mg of choline).

Yuck......this stuff is soooo thick. You basically have to just swallow it and immediately gulp down some orange juice. I'm going to stick to it though....for at least one bottle (I bought 2 and each bottle has 32 serviings).

Also....it's inositol that's in WGO. I'm not sure about lecithin. But it's inositol that's essential for hair growth....most ppl disregard it.

Oh, here's a catch....the liquid lecithin is really just like a thick oil: it has 11g of fat and 118 calories. But keep in mind that it's good fat (that omega-3 and ect.)

I consume liquid lecithin about 2 to 3 times a week -- I put in hot cereals or in my protein shakes. Lecithin is loaded with choline which is one of the key nutrients in eggs. I started taking years ago, along with brewers yeast and wheat germ for increase energy and to improve overall health. Shiny, healthier hair, nails and skin have simply been a bonus . . .

I've never tried to put it topically on my hair though!
