... I did NOT get weave-checked. Instead I got the loud, ig-nant (yeah I spelled it like that), talk-behind-your-back type of check. I had Thermasmoothed* my hair yesterday and DH and I went to the casino near our home to have dinner. I had my hair down and it had plenty of movement and shine. HOWEVER, my hair is fine and not thick-thick-thick like some of the ladies here. Also, I'm growing out my layers, so the longest portion (which is scraping BSL) is thinner than the upper layer. Why did these two -----s (pick your favorite term) follow us talking loud about I needed to get more tracks added in the back? I glanced over my shoulder to see if they were talking about me (swang my hair when I turned) and they were about 2 feet behind us looking directly at me. I turned back, kept walking, and finger-parted my hair down the middle so the scalp, length and lack of tracks was clearly visible, then just shook my head so it fell back into place. Then I looked back at them and just... smiled. :grin:


* The products are so good I am making them a verb.
 
that is just awful and rude, people are just out of control nowadays. good come back with parting your hair. so disrespectful of them.

did they notice you parting your hair? did they respond in any way to you?

I can just hear them "Yeah, she parted it where she knew it wasn't no tracks."
 
I am so sorry that you had to experience this, but I love the "hair parting/shake back in place" move. :grin:

I agree. People have gotten more and more ignorant. It's unbelievable. :nono: I'm so glad that Soulie parted her hair to show those witches what it's really all about. :laugh:
 
Yeah, that's the best way to get 'em...show 'em that part. I love wearing my hair in two ponies with my hair parted from front to back...don't get weave checked on those days :lachen:!
 
I hate the fact that women hate for no reason.. it's sad. But i'm loving that you showed them and kept walking. I can just hear them saying...."oh, so she think she all dat?!" LOL!!!! Keep em talking girl! Haters gotta hate it thier job! :)
 
OMG.. that is so mean. UGH.. that was really ignorant and i'm sorry u had to deal with that.. BTW, I like what you did.

I am sorry you had to go through the rudness. I cant wait to get checked though, its kinda like a badge of honor. You know u doing right when you get checked.:look:
 
Years ago when I first joined, a member was at the BSS and was getting flack. Her head was scarfed to the max. She slowly took everything off until they could see mbl hair, they were speechless:yep::yep::yep:

I personally am going to start taking down the bun when the nasty jabs get deep. I had a woman flick my bun thinking it was going to come off:ohwell:

You handled it well - let them choke on their bile!!!
 
A member of LHCF was at the BSS? How did you know this? Are ya'll friends? Just curious cause I think it would be so cool to run into a Niko's cousin.

Anyways I said it before I will say it again..I can't wait to get weave checked and talked about lol. Now I won't be looking forward to having to watch where I sit, possibly people trying to cut/put things in my hair,etc.
 
some of these *****s is out of control! good for you but they probably so ignorant that they didnt catch on.
