Hey, Ladies
first and foremost, this is not a challenge. Someone :sekret: has been bumping up the LadyPanialo deep moisture challenge thread for a few weeks now, and I know a few ladies have been craving a new thread. I've never started a challenge before, nor am I going to. Consider this as a support thread for ladies who wish to follow her regimen. You create your own rules because you know your hair better than I do. Just keep us updated, mind you that you can update anytime you like.

My experience:

I hid my hair for 3 months.

I was relaxed then & was having MAJOR hair & scalp issues!!! but I still got some retention. This is the last time I took hair pics as a relaxed girl.

I wore this wig the entire time (my first wig, btw)

Fast Foward a couple years later... I'M NOW 100% NATURAL. 1 year to be exact!
I follow this method & this is my 1 year worth of growth so far.

Uhh....I have been bumping....I am pursuing the lady paniolo method and just started, someone else has been a bumping...:detective:

I'm doing this as well. Recently bought my first glueless full lace human hair wig and I am attempting to keep my hair braided down for 2 to 3 months at a time with a week long rest in-between. I'm only one week into the first try at this... so far so good.

I'm currently in beehive braids. I'm taking them out at the end of the month. I will have worn them for 2 months (since Jan 29). I'll definitely take some pics of the beehive before I remove it.

Once I take them down I'm going to detox my hair & scalp for a week & start all over again. I'll be following this thread for the rest of the year.

Yasssss!! I need this thread, wiggin got me to apl after my bc without giving in to the creamy crack.
I just ordered new ones and this thread plus pre_medicalrulz gave me new inspiration

bump.. anyone?
I just got estelle and cece.
flattwisted my hair and hope to leave it alone till next sat

I took my bee hive down on 3/15/13. It seemed thicker. Washed, conditioned and replaced it with the initial braid starting in a different section than it did the first time.

My hair feels so dry, I am going to co wash later on this evening. My mom fell at the assisted living and I am going to run by the ER and check on her first. Have a great one!!

So wish I could participate. I grew my relaxer out (transitioned) 18 mos mostly with the help of Celie braids and large cornrows under wigs. At my chop, my hair was SL and grew to APL in no time. I cant do the challege cuz my SO hates wigs.

I have 15 nice ones sitting in my closet collecting dust. Maybe this fall or winter I will do this challenge...too hot otherwise to wear a wig on top of all this hair. Good luck to you ladies! I can attest to the fact that it WORKS! I did it when Lady Paniolo first posted about it...a couple yrs ago. :)

I'm sad to say that I don't remember the name of that wig. It was a lace front wig, and now it is in wig heaven because I wore the heck out of it. I'm sorry, ladies, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. It looked natural because I left some of my hairline out in the front to cover the lace.

I've been using my MN mixed with EVOO & EVCO for the past week, and my goal is to do that for the next year. I'm hoping to see some good results with the MN & the LadyP method.

@Phillipians413 I went by there and she had a bruise or two. I took her back and they got her set for bed. I am glad that I am not working 12 hour days and can be available for mom and dad!

I took my hair down friday because a piece was matting. I washed it with diluted shea moisture in 8 oz water after an oil soak with Trigger pound cake and aphogee 2 minute. I washed it out and did an overnight with NG orange and hibiscus. It was nice. I redid the braids with NG marshmallow along with Extra dark JBCO to the scalp and MD argan and some avocado to the length. I feel better now. My hair was dry!

I want in! However, I do celie plaits under my wigs and clarify/protein/dc once a week, m&s daily-every other day. This method is soon carefree with my busy schedule and has gotten me 100% retention

This sounds good!
I'm hiding my hair in crochet braids..basically glorified cornrows!
I'm trying to keep the cornrows moisturised , while i keep in the crochet braids for a month or two.

I'm hanging on by a string with my personal MN challenge because the ish is expensive. lol... Although I buy the Walmart brand, but it's still $5.00 for a 1.50 Oz tube. I'm thinking of switching to sublime sulfur. I wonder what would happen if I mixed some MN with my sulfur mix. I'm curious, but IDK if I wanna take that risk. However, I will be mixing some biotin powder with the mix.

I've been meaning to respond to this thread. I've been doing the Lady Paniolo method for a while now and I am getting great growth. I do 1 month wig and 2 months Senegalese twist in a continuous cycle. I coat my hair with leave in, deep conditioner, oil, and shea butter in that order. I made a half wig using Bohyme Brazilian hair which I will post today. I leave my hairline out for blending.

In July I had a major chop from a SHS but it gave me a chance to get rid of uneven hair and start fresh. I hope to post progress pics in June/July.
