Hi,

I'm jumping on the phonytail bandwagon but I have EXTREMELY thick unruly hair around the hairlines. I am relaxed but I sweat alot from exercise which is probably causing my hair to revert. Well it has only been 4 weeks since my last relaxer and it looks like I got a ton of new growth. I don't want to relaxe for at least 4 more weeks. What products can I use to tame and smooth out my fronts? I prefer not to use any gels as they are drying. However, I want that "fresh perm" look to the edges. Are there any miracle products that I can use? TIA!

i use a few handfuls of 911 leave-in conditioner, extra dry formula (only $4.04 at walmart) to kinda salack my sides back for ponytails when i work out. it works for me.

ITA with Deeplyrooted

oil and a watery type leave in and a good brushing down/back , works for me...

I agree with the other two ladies.

I also use a curly phonytail when I have a lot of new growth so I won't have to worry about my roots matching it. HTH

Thanks ladies, I will give these a try!!

Try using a wax pomade product like Redken Water Wax.

I think some kind of wax product would be good as well if you have type 4 hair naturally.
