Ladies With An Undercut....

Any of you ladies have an undercut like so? Thinking about getting one Saturday....

I don't have an undercut yet really but I do have my hair cut really low. I think I'm definitely going to get one when I decide to grow my hair out.

I've never even thought to color it like the girl on the right! I think that's so cute!

Those are so 80s/90s and so not cute IMO. Oh..and they're a ****** to grow out. I had one back then.

Yes. And I haven't gotten a haircut since Feb & it's a mess back there. This growing out stage is horrible. I think I'm going to keep it until it gets cold out.

Eta: I've had it since last June. I got a cut once a month. I should have gone every 2 weeks but I'm lazy. I got all my haircuts for free though. I know a bunch of barbers. The noise of the clippers(?) was so nerve racking.

Ivonnovi someone that went to the salon that I frequent said the hair was hot on the neck so it helped keep them cool in the warmer months or something like that.

I've seen this many times. While I wouldn't do it, it would be ideal for someone who has constant issues with a breaking nape.

I've been looking into this lately and I think it looks soooo good! I have a couple of friends who did this and they loved it - although one had the side-cut and not the undercut.
I think you should do it! Growing it back out eventually won't be bad at all although those "weird" stages are kinda annoying.

I do like it. Especially when it's tastefully done and not that chicken head look. My cousin does it because her nape is a problem area and for her it's better than getting upset that her hair keeps breaking in that area.

My sister (Hi Sandy!) had a similar cut back in the 80's. Its cute, but a real pain to grow out.

LOL, I almost did that to myself with my last relaxer touch up! Not something I would do on purpose though; I have a big head on a short, squat neck. I don't think an undercut would have the same effect on me as on those girls in the picture. But if you want to get one, and you think you can rock it and you can deal with the upkeep, than you do you; you don't have to have us tell you whether you should or shouldn't.

Good luck with your decision, and if you go through with it, may you look every bit the badass beauty I think the chicks who wear (and rock) those cuts are.

I did it! Got my undercut!
