I've tried two products from the phyto line. I like the Phytokarite for ultra dry hair and the Phyto 9. Both work well on my 4a/b hair. Hope this helps.
I just picked up 4 products in this line this past Sunday from Norstrom. I immediately put some Moisturizing Styling Balm in my hair (post spraying w/distilled water) and the next day my twistout was very nice. 2 days later my hair is oily but kind of dry. The ingredients concern me in that there are cones, mineral oil, petro, and wax in the mix but I'm in an experimental stage though with my regimen. Tonight I plan to try the Nutritional Intense Shampoo and the Vital Force Creme Bath (and possibly) followed by the Intense Nutrition Mask. I'll post back after seeing how it turns out after 2 days.
I hear Oprah uses the Phyto Lactum Shampoo. The Phyto line is said to me more natural sorta speak than the Phytospecific line (same company).
I used to use the hairdress, but to me it was no more than some petroleum with fragrance. I also used the Vital Force Shampoo and conditioner, they were pretty good, but not worth the big $$$ I spent on them. MHO
I like Phyto better than phystospecific (which uses a lot of petroleum, I guess because it's the "black" line). I love the Phyto 9 as well, in fact I'll be getting some soon.

Okay here goes. After posting I noticed that I didn't use the Moisturizing Styling Balm per the instructions. It said to use it on dry hair. I tried it that way and still my hair (after airdrying) became oily and dry. I didn't care for the shampoo nor did I like the Vital Force Creme Bath (Lekair, green, works better for me). The only product I liked (of the 4) was the Phytospecific Intense Nutrition Mask. I did a heat cap treatment and when I took the cap off my hair had nice ringlets. I was so surprised that I shampooed my hair again (clarified this time) this morning and did another heat cap treatment. After rinsing I put a little more mask on as a leave-in followed by some Hot oil six did a shake and go and out the door I went (no place of importance). The shake and go has a little room for improvements but the Intense Nutrition Mask is a promising treat.
The mask is my favorite in the Phytospecific line. My hair responds favorably to more of the products in the Phyto line, especially the Phyto 9 and the Phytonectar.

It seems like more people of color like the general Phyto line than the "black line" Phytospecific.

Yup, because companies always feel like they're black line has to have petrolatum and/or mineral oil in it! Who in the HELL said those ingredients were good for our hair? Are you listening Phytospecific and Pantene R&N!!!

Lala, what type of results do you get from the Phyto 9 and the Phytonectar? Does your hair get a response that's different from the mask?
Edited to add: I would love to get away from any form of alcohol if at all possible.

Hi there. I do get different results with the Phyto 9 and the Phytonectar b/c I'm using them for different things. I use the Phyto 9 as a daily hairdress and the Phytonectar is used as a pre-treatment before shampoo.
I use the Photojoba shampoo I gets my hair really clean. when I was first transitioning I used the relaxing balm. I worked great for blending my two textures for the first 5-6 months.
