Ladies who\'s growth has SPURTED

How are u measuring your growth each month? How do u differentiate old growth from new growth?

since I am in braids its petty easy for me to tell. My middle/ crown of my head grows faster than any other part of my head. However I am natural so when the braids are out and my hair is curly, I really cant tell unless I do a blow out on low heat.

I have been taking pictures, that and other people tell me my hair has grown. My hair is almost as long as it has ever been with a relaxer. I don't measure my hair...I am not coordinated enough to do that, lol, but I do have to straighten my hair out to tell. HTH

I had a big growth spurt between Dec 03 and my last touch up on 3/13/04. I started taking supplements, started Surging and began my expHAIRiment. I used a tape measure to measure my intial length from root to tip, front, sides and back. I picked one day per month to make notes on my hair progress(the 14th of every month.)

I started in Dec so Jan 14th I wrote down what new products I tried in that time frame and what I liked and didn't and what my regimein was. Did the same on Feb 14. On March 13th I got a retouch. I measured my hair on March 14 to see exactly how much new growth I got after going 12 weeks between relaxers. I gained almost, not quite 3 inches.

Its hard to "measure" new growth but I certainly did measure the length of my hair once I got a retouch and could tell the inches. I am SLOWLY getting to bra strap legnth but I will say the that vits and Surge are helping me along. I am hoping by the nest retouch June 12 I will accomplish this goal. Its driving me nuts that I am so close but not there yet.

I measure my hair from scalp to ends by stretching it up against a ruler. At the beginning of a growth spurt (which I can tell by the tenderness & pain), I'll measure the hair. Then at the end of the growth spurt, I'll measure again.

well i tried to take pics and it just didnt work out. I measure my hair from scalp to ends in the front, the crown, and the back. this is my progress since i started (in inches). I measure my hair after my relaxer.

front- 8 3/8
middle- 9
back- 6.5

june (i think this is when the Canis Major gave me a cut instead of trim
front- 8.5
middle- 9.1
back- 7.1
