I got mine done on Saturday, how soon can I wash my hair?

I like to wait at least a week before washing to reduce slipping.

Washing them in 4-6 big braids is a good idea, but also remember to concentrate on washing the scalp more than the rest of the hair. Letting the shampoo/conditioner run naturally through the braids will keep them from getting to fuzzy. HTH!

Since I don't wash the extension hair before putting it in (I know, :barf: gross huh? :giggle: ), I usually can't wait to do so and tend to wash mine within days of putting them in. I washed the set I have 3 days or so after I put them in, then again three days later. My hair regimen is a wash twice a week so it doesn't change when I have braids in.

I agree, about a week and a half or when my hair feels dirty, get braid spray and Sea Breeze (put it in a spray bottle) to keep them clean in between washes. With braids, washing a lot makes them look older and frizz up. Get in your scalp real well, there's also something else I used to use by Organic Root Stimulator no wash dry shampoo braid cleanser. It was purple. Here it is

I loved braids, and good luck! Don't forget to moisturize your scalp too and dont always pull it back, itll stress the edges.

This info was really helpful. I am getting my hair braided on fri. I think this will work great for me. I was unsure of using my shampoo and diluting it.
