Ladies who press-HAELP!

Can u please tell me why you should not press relaxed hair? I was interested in getting a ceramic electic press comb. My hair is not bone strait, so I don't see why this would damage my hair more than a flat iron. Can u give me some tips, suggestions, or ideas on flat irons? I have a 1" solia and it doesn't get my hair strait. Any s uggestions u can give me will be appreciated.

I have a solid gold ELECTRIC STRAIGHENIN COMB had it forever, never damage my hair worser than the one u put on the stove that too much heat.

My son has natural hair so i use on his head it didnt work tha how safe the heat is also it has 15 diff heating settin.

I believe it's bc the teeth pull your hair straight. But I'm not sure. That's just what I was told.
